According to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, attacks were also planned on Andrei Iusov, a representative of the Military Intelligence Agency of Ukraine and the deputy head of the Coordination Staff for the treatment of war prisoners. The group was dismantled as part of a joint Moldovan-Ukrainian operation, as a result of which 11 suspects were detained.

The Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravcenko, stated that following the investigations, it was found that the group members were acting under the coordination of the Russian special services and simultaneously targeted one of the leaders of a strategic Ukrainian state enterprise and Ukrainian military personnel, including fighters of the Foreign Legion.

Ruslan Kravcenko mentioned that the group members were collecting information about the movements, lifestyle, resting places, and residence of the targeted individuals, with the aim of organizing the preparation and subsequently the assassination of these individuals in exchange for a reward of up to 100 thousand dollars for an assassination, for a crime.

A joint Moldovan-Ukrainian operation led to the arrest of 11 suspects in a case involving the preparation of assassinations of public figures in Ukraine: four in Moldova, including the group’s coordinator, and seven in Ukraine. The group was led by a man from Chisinau, with a criminal record in Russia for drug trafficking and connections to coordinators from Russian special services via Telegram. The other detainees from Moldova are two cohabitants and a young man, and the 10 recruits, aged between 19 and 43, come from Chisinau, Comrat, Orhei, and Tighina, some with records for hooliganism and traffic offenses.

The Moldovan firefighters stationed in Greece have participated in their first intervention to extinguish a vegetation fire. The mission took place in the town of Souroti in the Thessaloniki region, where Greek authorities requested additional support to extinguish several outbreaks, reports IPN.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the team was mobilized Thursday morning and intervened alongside Greek firefighters to extinguish the fire. The Moldovan rescuers were divided into two teams, they extinguished the hotspots and checked the affected perimeter to prevent their reignition.

Subsequently, the firefighters returned to the operational base, where the fire trucks, equipment, and necessary reserves for potential interventions were checked.

Moldovan firefighters are participating, from July 14 to August 1, in a pre-positioning mission in Greece, organized through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. The purpose of this mission is to support Greek authorities in managing vegetation and forest fires during the high-risk season.
