The U-19 Women’s National Football Team suffered a defeat in their second match of the mini-qualifying tournament for the 2025/2026 European Championship, second round, group B2. The team coached by Alexandra Bocancea was defeated by the Faroe Islands team with a score of 5-0, reports IPN.
The goals of the team from the Faroe Islands were scored by Sara Benjaminsen, who made a hat-trick (min. 16 – from penalty, 76, 90+3), Karra Sigurdsson in the 50th minute and Birita Mohr in the 56th minute.
In the first qualifying match, the junior team was defeated by the Kosovo representative with a score of 6-0.
The last match within the group will take place on Saturday, April 18, starting at 05:30 PM, against the Lithuanian team. The WU-19 national team of the Republic of Moldova is in fourth place, the last, in group B2, without any points, the ranking being led by the Faroe Islands, with 6 points.
