The format of the lessons on February 18 will be decided based on the situation in the localities. Recommendations of the MEC

The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) leaves it to the discretion of the education directorates to decide how schools will organize lessons on February 18, online or with physical presence, depending on the weather conditions in each locality, reports IPN.

“The education departments and local public authorities of level II are recommended to distinguish between different situations, taking into account the following parameters: the distance covered by students and teaching staff to the institution, especially in rural areas; the capacity of the responsible services to ensure snow removal; specific situations of students transported to educational institutions, especially those who travel more than ten kilometers, and the condition of local roads”, mentions MEC.

The educational directions will timely inform parents and the school community about any potential changes in the organization of the educational process.

According to the latest weather updates, snowfall, sleet, and wind intensifications are forecasted, starting from tonight and continuing throughout the day on Wednesday, February 18th.
