Second round of the new local elections: About 4,700 voters had cast their ballots by noon

About 4,700 voters had cast their ballots by 12:00 PM in the three localities where the second round of new local elections is taking place today. According to the Central Election Commission, the highest turnout was recorded in the municipality of Orhei, where voter turnout exceeded 12%, IPN reports.

According to CEC data, 11.28% of registered voters had cast their ballots by noon.

The Commission notes that the election is proceeding as usual, and polling stations will remain open until 09:00 PM.

The second round of the new local elections will be held on Sunday to elect mayors in the commune of Rusestii Noi in the Ialoveni district, the municipality of Orhei, and the city of Taraclia.
