The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had discussions in Germany with the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Marco Rubio, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, which is taking place from February 13 to 15, reports IPN.

According to the Presidency, on the first day of the conference, the head of state had a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kristen Michal. Also, she is set to discuss with the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, and with Reem Alabali-Radovan, the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.

For February 14, bilateral meetings are scheduled with the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović.

Additionally, the president will also meet with several parliamentarians from European countries to promote the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

The Munich Security Conference brings together 50 heads of state and government, along with other high-ranking officials. The event was opened on Friday by the Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz.

President Maia Sandu is participating in the debate dedicated to the prevention and combating of hybrid threats, alongside the Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, the President of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany, Martin Jäger, and the President of the NATO Military Committee, Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.
