At least four people have been killed and 20 injured in a armed attack at a school in Turkey. This is the second attack of this kind in the last 48 hours, reports IPN.
The tragedy took place on Wednesday in a middle school in the Kahramanmaras province, in the south of the country. The governor of the province declared that three students and a teacher were fatally shot, and the attacker committed suicide.
According to the authorities, the perpetrator is an eighth-grade teenager who came to school with five weapons and seven magazines. The governor clarified that the weaponry most likely belongs to the boy’s father, a former police officer.
Four out of the 20 injured are in critical condition and have undergone emergency surgery. The Turkish Minister of Justice, Akin Gurlek, announced on social media that an investigation has been launched to examine the reason and circumstances of the attack.
