The former Democratic deputy, Vladimir Andronachi, has been released from custody and will continue to be investigated under judicial control. The information was confirmed for IPN by the spokesperson of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, Emil Gaitur.
The Chisinau Court rejected, on June 17, the request of the PCCOCS prosecutors to extend the preventive arrest and ordered the application of the judicial control measure for a period of 60 days. The prosecutors appealed the decision to the Court of Appeal, but the court rejected the appeal on June 30.
Vladimir Andronachi was preventively arrested in September 2025, being investigated in several criminal cases, including those related to bank fraud. He is accused of swindling and money laundering on a particularly large scale. According to prosecutors, the former deputy allegedly operated within a criminal organization, and the attributed damage exceeds 26 million lei.
In February 2026, Andronachi was once again released under judicial control in another case. Subsequently, on March 24, he was detained again, this time in a case involving the creation and leadership of a criminal organization. In the same case, the former Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Victor Osipov, was also arrested.
