The socio-political movement of the Roma in Moldova will participate in this year’s parliamentary elections. The announcement was made by the president of the movement, Robert Cerari, during a press conference. Robert Cerari mentioned that the movement he leads intends to enter this democratic fight to bring about real changes in the Republic of Moldova, reports IPN.
“We desire a Parliament where every citizen, regardless of ethnicity, is represented with dignity, where public policies truly include all communities in Moldova”, said Robert Cerari.
The socio-political movement of the Roma in Moldova promises quality education for all children, including those of Roma ethnicity, real access to health services and decent housing, a strong fight against discrimination and hate speech. “We are a prepared team, people with strength. We want to do good and beautiful things”, declared the president of the movement.
The electoral period for the parliamentary elections, scheduled for September 28, will begin on July 14, according to the calendar program approved by the Central Electoral Commission.
