Prime Minister Dorin Recean has announced that he will run on the lists of the Action and Solidarity Party in the parliamentary elections on September 28. He stated, in a message published on social networks, that he made this decision because he believes that only through unity and joint effort can a strong and free Moldova be built, reports IPN.
The Prime Minister officially announced his candidacy in his hometown – Mândâc, Drochia district. “Over all these years, we have maintained peace, brought the European Union closer than ever, made real investments in schools, hospitals, roads, and we are building our energy independence,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
Dorin Recean stated that there are still steps to be taken. “We have a duty to leave our children a Moldova that cannot be blackmailed or threatened, and to carry out our objective to the end: accession to the European Union,” explained the Prime Minister.
The Action and Solidarity Party is the first organization officially registered in the electoral race. Also, the Democracy at Home Party has been registered as an electoral competitor. The electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections on September 28th, begins on August 29th.
