The twelfth legislative Parliament will have 12 delegations to bilateral and multilateral parliamentary organizations. The numerical and nominal composition of these was approved at the meeting on November 13, and the opposition was given leadership roles in five of these delegations, reports IPN.
The delegation of the Parliamentary Association Committee of the Republic of Moldova – European Union will be led by the president of the Commission for European Integration, Marcel Spatari, deputy of the Action and Solidarity Party faction.
PAS Deputy Ion Groza will lead, as in the previous legislature, the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). Veronica Rosca retains her position as head of the delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and Deputy Adrian Balutel will lead the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership (EURONEST).
The opposition takes over the leadership of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), which will be led by Petru Burduja, a deputy of the Socialist Party faction.
The deputy of the “Home Democracy” faction, Alexandru Versinin, will lead the Delegation to the Interparliamentary Union (IPU).
Olga Ursu, a deputy of the “Alternative” faction, will lead the Delegation to the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly, while the Delegation to the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative will be led by Renato Usatii, a deputy of the Our Party faction.
The function of co-chair of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Poland, which falls to the opposition, remains vacant for now.
