On nine national road sectors, the pavement has deformed due to the high temperatures of the past few days. The National Road Administration mentions that there have been reports of concrete slabs rising on certain sections, and road workers have intervened to rectify the situation on the M3 and M5 highways, reports IPN.

According to the AND, in the case of M5, interventions took place near the localities of Glinjeni, Roscani, Dumbravita, and Marandeni, as well as on the bypass road of the municipality of Balti. Repair works were carried out in the locality of Porumbrei, on the M3 road.

According to the institution, after the appearance of deformations, the affected areas were marked, and the road crews intervened to remove them. At the same time, AND mentions that it will continue the constant monitoring of the national road network and will intervene as necessary.

In this context, drivers are urged to drive with caution, to adjust their speed to the road conditions, and to respect the temporary road signs set up in areas where road surface deformations have been observed. Road users can report lifted paving stones or other damage caused by high temperatures to the AND’s operational service, available non-stop at the numbers +373 78 337 744 and +373 60 477 117.

The former president of the Constitutional Court, Alexandru Tanase, stated that the changes regarding the competences of the Gagauz autonomy in organizing elections do not represent an infringement on its status. “Gagauzia does not have enemies in Moldova,” Tănase declared in the show “Teritoria Svobodi” with Lilia Burakovski, reports IPN.

Alexandru Tanase also stated that Comrat is being “brazenly manipulated”. “I am very sorry that, after 30 years, other political parties are not normally represented there, and pro-Moscow oriented politicians control the situation in the autonomy”, clarified the former president of the Constitutional Court.

In his opinion, this is a backlog of Chisinau, for which the country will pay a high price due to the ignorance of the situation in the region.

He mentioned that, most likely, legislative changes will be made, according to which Chisinau will designate the electoral bodies itself that will organize the elections in Gagauzia – on the date set by the Popular Assembly.

“Gagauzia has no enemy in the Republic of Moldova. There is no politician – not even the most marginal – who would say that autonomy should be abolished or that certain competencies should be reduced,” concluded the former president of the Constitutional Court.
