The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations has announced that the fire that broke out at the warehouse on Lunca Bacului Street in the capital has been brought under control. Due to the on-site response, buses on routes 23 and 36 are operating on a modified route, according to IPN.

The Urban Bus Park notes that, on the outbound route, buses travel along Lunca Bacului, Varnita, Uzinelor, and Voluntarilor streets. On the return trip, they follow the route along Voluntarilor, Uzinelor, Varnita, and Lunca Bacului streets. For additional information, passengers can contact the PUA Central Dispatch Office at 022-83-73-17.

The fire broke out this morning around 08:20 AM at a warehouse on Lunca Bacului Street in the capital, which contained heavy machinery, tractors, tires, and significant quantities of oil. After approximately four hours of firefighting efforts, firefighters managed to contain the blaze.

Teams from the natural gas and electricity utilities, as well as police officers, also responded to the scene to ensure safety and keep traffic moving.

A total of 90 firefighters and rescue workers are on the scene, along with 12 IGSU fire trucks and 17 support vehicles. No casualties have been reported. IGSU personnel are continuing their efforts to extinguish the fire.

The former president of the Constitutional Court, Alexandru Tanase, stated that the changes regarding the competences of the Gagauz autonomy in organizing elections do not represent an infringement on its status. “Gagauzia does not have enemies in Moldova,” Tănase declared in the show “Teritoria Svobodi” with Lilia Burakovski, reports IPN.

Alexandru Tanase also stated that Comrat is being “brazenly manipulated”. “I am very sorry that, after 30 years, other political parties are not normally represented there, and pro-Moscow oriented politicians control the situation in the autonomy”, clarified the former president of the Constitutional Court.

In his opinion, this is a backlog of Chisinau, for which the country will pay a high price due to the ignorance of the situation in the region.

He mentioned that, most likely, legislative changes will be made, according to which Chisinau will designate the electoral bodies itself that will organize the elections in Gagauzia – on the date set by the Popular Assembly.

“Gagauzia has no enemy in the Republic of Moldova. There is no politician – not even the most marginal – who would say that autonomy should be abolished or that certain competencies should be reduced,” concluded the former president of the Constitutional Court.
