The Central Court of Appeal annulled, on December 31, the conclusion of the Chisinau Court from December 24, which had ordered the house arrest of Vladimir Andronachi. Thus, the former democratic deputy remains in isolation for another 30 days, reports IPN.
The decision of the Chisinau Court was appealed to the Central Court of Appeal by prosecutors, who requested the extension of the preventive arrest measure.
The former deputy was detained on September 2, 2025, being targeted in several criminal cases, including cases related to bank fraud. Vladimir Andronachi is accused of fraud and money laundering on an exceptionally large scale. Prosecutors argue that he would have acted within a criminal organization, as an organizer, instigator, and author, and the state would have been prejudiced with over 26 million lei.
