The Triumphal Arch in Chisinau will be lit up in red from February 13th to 18th, on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. The event is organized by the Chisinau City Hall, in partnership with the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, reports IPN.
The festive lighting will be switched on daily from 05:45 PM until the morning, at 06:53 AM.
“Chisinau promotes intercultural dialogue and is open to hosting foreign cultural events, as well as representing our culture abroad,” mentions the local authority.
The Chinese New Year, marked in 2026 by the Year of the Horse, begins on February 17. In a message posted on social networks, the Chinese Embassy expressed its wish that “the friendship between China and Moldova gallop together towards spring”. On the occasion of the holiday, the diplomatic mission conveyed wishes of well-being and prosperity in the new year.
