Following the final decision on the voluntary amalgamation of the localities Telita, Roscani and Calfa from the Anenii Noi district, the process enters the administrative-legal stage, one of the most complex phases of the reform. In an interview for IPN, the mayor of the Telita commune, Rodica Russu, stated that the inventory of assets, the elaboration of internal regulations, and the preparation of the organizational chart documents are to follow. The process is expected to be completed by the general local elections of 2027.
“In this way, the new administrative-territorial unit, which in 2027 will go through the local general elections and will elect its new mayor and new local council, will be able to exercise its rights and service obligations from the very first day. There will be no need to start with the elaboration of regulations, the statute, and other documents of this kind”, declared Rodica Russu.
Referring to other town halls involved in similar processes, Rodica Russu argued that, even though the time was more limited for some of these, the existence of already developed models and tools could facilitate the implementation of the reform.
“I was among the first who worked on this journey, together with the State Chancellery and experts from various fields. Implementation matrices and document packages have been developed that can be used by those who follow”, mentioned the mayor of Telita commune.
