Military education and the training of the young generation were the main topics discussed during the visit of His Royal Highness, Prince Radu of Romania, to the “Alexandru cel Bun” Military College and the “Stefan cel Mare” Motorized Infantry Brigade in Chisinau, reports IPN.
Consort Prince Radu discussed with the Secretary of State in the field of defense policy, Ghenadie Cojocaru, the deputy head of the National Army’s Great General Staff, Brigadier General Sergiu Voinu, as well as with the delegation led by the commanding rector of the Military Academy, Colonel Petru Mihalcea.
In a press release, the Ministry of Defense specifies that the dialogue focused on the role of the Military College in the development of pre-university military education and on the continuity of studies within the Military Academy. At the same time, the importance of discipline, leadership, and civic spirit in shaping the future soldiers of the national army was emphasized.
Prince Radu mentioned that choosing a military career represents the first step in the professional and personal development of young people and lays the foundation of education, discipline, and values that define the status of a soldier within the educational system of the national army.
Prince Radu of Romania is making a visit to Moldova during the period of 18-19 May.
