Over a thousand job opportunities will be available at the Careers Fair, scheduled for October 23-24, at the “Nicolae Sulac” National Palace. The event will bring together approximately 20 employers, reports IPN.

Employment opportunities target several fields, among which are production, the auto industry, information technology, consulting, human resources, marketing, and communication. Positions are available for customer relations specialists, team leaders, consultants, engineers, electricians, economists, and accountants, as well as internships for students.

The fair will open at 10:00 AM and can be visited until 05:00 PM. Candidates will have the opportunity to speak directly with employers, to find out details about the available positions, about the working conditions and the teams they could be part of.

The program also includes two practical workshops, organized on the first day of the fair: the first one, scheduled at 11:00 AM, will be dedicated to CV writing, so as to pass the automatic candidate selection systems, and identifying fake job advertisements. The second one, starting at 12:00 PM, will discuss the techniques of presenting professional experience in the CV and about the job interview.

Participants will be able to take part in competitions with prizes, as well as in recreational activities.

This fall’s edition marks 20 years since the launch of the Careers Fair. Approximately 2,750 people participated in the edition organized in Chisinau in the spring, and 26 companies offered 1,529 job positions.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) are conducting searches at the headquarters of the National Bank of Ukraine, as well as at the residence of an employee of the banking institution. Law enforcement officials have not specified who is targeted, however, according to the Ukrainska Pravda publication, it could be the head of the banking institution, Andrei Pisnii, reports IPN.

NABU has stated that, so far, no arrests have been made nor have any notifications been issued regarding suspicions of committing offenses. The institution added that it will provide additional details as the investigation progresses.

According to the Ukrainian press, it’s about a broader investigation targeting the organized criminal group with connections in the presidential administration, which would have also included the former deputy of the head of the presidential administration in Kiev, who has since been dismissed.

Ukrainska Pravda wrote in August that President Volodymyr Zelensky was reportedly dissatisfied with the work of Andrei Pisnii and that he had discussed his dismissal.

The government has approved the creation of 34 territorial education agencies, subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Research, which will take over the management of primary schools, middle schools, high schools and special education institutions from local public authorities. The transfer will take place from January 1, 2027, except for the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti, where the takeover will be carried out from January 1, 2028, reports IPN.

The new territorial agencies take over the founder’s responsibilities of the affiliated public education institutions. They will have legal personality, their own budget and structure, and the total approved staff limit is 825 personnel units.

The agencies will manage the school network, will handle human resources and the funding of institutions, will monitor the quality of education and school inclusion, and will take care of aspects related to heritage, student transportation, and support services. Moreover, they will have responsibilities regarding the organization of hiring competitions for the directors of educational institutions, who will be able to have a maximum of two terms of five years each.

The structure and regulations of each agency, as well as the list of institutions for which it will act as a founder, will be approved by the Ministry of Education and Research. The largest agency will be the one in Chisinau, for which 121 staff units are planned. The agency in Orhei will have 29 units, the one in Balti – 28, and the one in Soroca – 27. For Basarabeasca, 14 staff units are planned.

Kindergartens and extracurricular educational institutions will not be transferred to the administration of the new agencies and will remain under the supervision of local public authorities.

In UTA Gagauzia, the territorial education agency will be established by the People’s Assembly, and the structure, staffing limit, and operating regulations will be approved by the Executive Committee of Gagauzia.
