Moldovan citizens are not among the victims of the attacks in Israel, Moldovan Ambassador to Tel Aviv Alexandr Roitman confirmed, IPN reports.
“The Embassy is in permanent contact with the Israeli authorities, for the moment no casualties or injuries among Moldovan citizens have been recorded,” the diplomat wrote on his Facebook page.
In another message, Alexandr Roitman noted that the security situation in the region remains complicated and urged Moldovan citizens in Israel to follow the instructions of local authorities, avoid non-essential travel and stay close to the bomb shelters.
The residential complex where the ambassador was renting an apartment was hit by a ballistic missile attack and the diplomat left the place in accordance with the security measures recommended by the authorities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova issued on Friday a travel alert for Israel and activated a Crisis Cell, in the context of the reciprocal air strikes between Israel and Iran.
