Sunshine, 22 degrees and no rain is in the forecast for May 1. But meteorologists warn that winds will be gusting up to 18 meters per second. On Thursday and Friday the weather will be stable during the day, but on the morning of May 2 frosts of up to minus 2 degrees on the ground surface are possible, IPN reports.
According to the forecasts announced by the Meteorological Forecast Center, maximum temperatures of 17-22 degrees are expected over the next two days. The nights will be cool, with only 3-8 degrees.
As Labor Day is off for many citizens, they choose to spend time outdoors, and authorities warn of the risks of open fires, barbecues and bonfires. Specially designed and supervised areas are recommended. The use of highly flammable liquids is prohibited. Water, sand or fire extinguishers are useful to prevent fires.
Parents are advised not to allow children to have access to open fires, matches and coals. Supervision of minors is also required near water pools.
Litter should be collected after picnics and properly disposed of to keep recreational areas clean, say environmental officials.
