Municipal services intervened throughout the night for snow removal and spreading of anti-skid material, especially on main streets, public transportation routes and access roads to the suburbs, reports IPN.
The General Directorate for Housing and Community Facilities intervened on sidewalks, in public transport waiting stations, and courtyards, to maintain the safety of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The GDHCF warns citizens that, due to the recent rain and sleet, a layer of ice has formed under the snow, increasing the risks for pedestrians and drivers.
The City Hall of Chisinau announces that the public transport circulation has been fully restored in the city, and in the suburbs it is largely running according to schedule. The only changes are two temporary reroutes: the trolleybus route 37 “Station – Bubuieci commune” and the bus route 24 “Tighina street – Colonita village”.
