The largest provider of dialysis services in the Republic of Moldova has been acquired by an investment group from Dubai, led by the British Kavit Handa. This is BB Hamodialyse, which offers life-sustaining treatment to patients with chronic kidney disease in Moldova, reports IPN.
“As a British investor based in Dubai, I see Moldova as a unique success story, a place that has built one of the most cost-effective dialysis ecosystems in Europe”, mentioned Kavit Handa.
The businessman emphasized that the mission of his investment group is to take Moldova’s experience in this field and apply it to other markets where accessibility and access are crucial.
Kavit Handa added that Moldova will serve as a training and innovation center that will drive this transformation. He sees it as an opportunity to create a 100 million dollar business in the country over the next five years at the same time.
Requested by IPN for a comment, the director of BB Hamodialyse, Eduard Plamadeala, did not respond to the message.
According to official data, BB-Hamodialysis holds approximately 8.5% of the complementary medical services market in the Republic of Moldova. Last year, the company reported revenues of over 146 million lei from sales, of which over 24 million represented profit. At that time, the company had 116 employees.
