The Republic of Moldova recorded a growth in investments of over 20% in 2025 – the highest rate in the country’s history, stated Governor Anca Dragu in an interview for Agerpress. According to the head of BNM, this development reflects the strengthening of investor confidence in the Moldovan economy and the maintenance of banking sector stability, reports IPN.
The Governor of the BNM stated that European financial integration contributes to the development of the financial market, and joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) will facilitate both financial transfers and current and future investments.
Anca Dragu mentioned that for this year, the authorities estimate an economic growth of approximately 4%, and inflation is expected to remain below the threshold of 5%.
“Macroeconomic stability and financial sector reforms create the premises for sustainable economic development,” emphasized the head of the BNM. According to her, these performances mark an important stage for the Moldovan economy, indicating both investor confidence and the positive impact of structural reforms implemented in the financial sector.
