A 34-year-old foreign man was detained by the police following an incident in a taxi in Chisinau. The suspect is under criminal investigation for death threats, and the weapon has been seized by the authorities, reports IPN.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, the incident was reported on the morning of February 14th. The taxi driver stated that the passenger, whom he was transporting from Moscova Boulevard to the Centru sector, allegedly pulled out an unknown type of weapon and threatened him.
The officers of the Central Inspectorate, together with the employees of the “Fulger” Brigade, identified and detained the suspect. Following the search at his residence, the weapon was found and confiscated.
The man was detained for 72 hours and is under criminal investigation for threat of murder.
