Representatives of the European affairs committees from seven EU countries will pay a visit to Moldova, from March 29 to 31. The delegation is composed of parliamentarians from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Germany. They will meet with several Moldovan officials, including the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, reports IPN.
A joint session with the members of the Committee for European Integration is also scheduled.
The agenda of the visit includes meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popsoi.
According to a statement from the Parliament, the discussions will focus on Moldova’s European path, the assessment of progress in the accession process, as well as the priorities and forms of support needed to accelerate reforms and meet the EU accession criteria.
