The strengthening of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the European Investment Bank, as well as projects aimed at the country’s economic development, were discussed in Chisinau by the EIB Vice-President, Karl Nehammer, and Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. The discussions focused on investments and initiatives designed to support the modernization of the economy, reports IPN.
The meeting took place during Karl Nehammer’s first official visit to the Republic of Moldova. The officials discussed several areas of collaboration, including the development of the regional eco-industrial parks network and the expansion of support for small and medium-sized enterprises through diversified financial instruments.
On the agenda of the discussions were also projects in the field of information technologies and digital infrastructure. The parties addressed the development of the Moldova HiTech Park project, as well as opportunities for cooperation in the field of data centers.
Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu emphasized the importance of the partnership with the EIB for the implementation of strategic projects that contribute to the growth of economic competitiveness and the attraction of investments.
