The Russian military has launched a drone strike on a passenger minibus near the town of Bilopilea in Ukraine’s Sumy region, according to local authorities quoted by IPN.
“The attack killed nine passengers and injured seven others, including three in serious condition. This is another Russian war crime. A deliberate attack on civilian transportation that poses no threat”, Sumy regional military administration head Oleg Grigorov said on social media.
“All those killed were civilians. And the Russians could not have failed to understand what kind of vehicle they were targeting. This was a deliberate killing of civilians. Yesterday, like every other day of this war, there was an opportunity for a ceasefire. Ukraine has long proposed this – a full and unconditional ceasefire to save lives. Russia retains only the ability to continue killing”, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said in a social media post.
The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that a “Geran-2” drone attack was carried out on the Sumy region, targeting “the temporary stationing point of the “ВВСТ” station (weapons, military equipment and special technology) of the 82nd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the town of Velikaya Cernetcina in the Sumy region.
