The mayor’s lawyer of Durlesti city requests the law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough, objective, and impartial investigation, while respecting the fundamental rights of the mayor at the same time. According to lawyer Sorin Tighinean, Eleonora Saran is prepared to answer all the questions of the investigation and to provide all the necessary support for clarifying the situation.

During a press conference at IPN, Sorin Tighinean announced that an appeal has been filed with the Court of Appeal against the preventive arrest warrant issued in the name of the mayor of Durlesti, with the aim of obtaining a more lenient preventive measure.

“We address the legal authorities and request that the investigation be careful, objective, and impartial. We reiterate that Mrs. Eleonora Saran has provided the prosecutor with the necessary explanations regarding the case and has offered to answer all unclear questions,” asserts the lawyer.

Sorin Tighinean asserts that there are certain interests surrounding the case. “We are convinced that there are circumstances and interests around this case that will become clear in the coming days,” added the defender.
