A bus with 18 people on board skidded near the town of Carbuna, in the Ialoveni district. Rescuers intervened to unblock the means of transport, and the passengers were able to continue their journey safely, reports IPN.
In another 11 cases, the employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations provided support to ambulances to reach patients on snow-covered or icy roads. The missions were carried out in the districts of Nisporeni, Drochia, Ungheni, Causeni, Hancesti, and Anenii Noi.
In most interventions, rescuers and firefighters have assisted in unblocking and towing skidded vehicles. They also removed trees that had fallen onto the roadway.
In the context of difficult weather conditions, citizens are urged to avoid non-essential travel, and in risky situations to call the Emergency Service 112.
