A batch of 26 tons of imported dill and parsley was destroyed by the National Food Safety Agency, after laboratory tests confirmed exceedances of the allowed limits for Penconazole and Chlorpyrifos, pesticides considered dangerous to health, reports IPN.
At the same time, ANSA announces that 132 kilograms of buckwheat were also withdrawn and destroyed, after the analyses showed exceedances of the allowed limit for the pesticide Glyphosate.
During inspections at border checkpoints, a number of imported food products based on vegetable fats were also checked. Specialists detected the presence of trans isomers of unsaturated fatty acids, other than those naturally present, which contravenes current health regulations.
Consequently, conditional use has been ordered for three batches of food products with protein and fat content. It is about approximately 1.4 tons of semi-hard and soft paste products, which are to be used according to the restrictions set by the authorities.
