Dorin Recean has been appointed adviser to President Maia Sandu in the field of defense and national security, the President’s Office announced in a press release. At the same time, he will serve as secretary of the Supreme Security Council.
Recean was Minister of the Interior in the Leancă Government in a team with Maia Sandu, who was Minister of Education at the time.
The post of presidential adviser on defense and national security fell vacant after the predecessor, Ana Revenco, became Minister of the Interior.
In the same press release, the President’s Office announced that PhD Tatiana Tabuncic, deputy dean of the USM Law Department, has been appointed as member of the Integrity Council for a term of five years.
