Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, is to become Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, a post from which Andrei Spinu recently resigned.

Vladimir Bolea will be replaced at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry by Ludmila Catlabuga, a businesswoman. Her candidacy was selected in consultation with agricultural associations.

The current Minister of Interior Affairs Adrian Efros, who announced his resignation on social media this evening, will no longer be in the cabinet. He is to be replaced by Daniella Misail-Nichitin, currently Secretary of State at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The reshuffle was announced on monday evening by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at a press conference. According to the Prime Minister, they were decided after consultations held in the past weeks with civil society, professional associations, representatives of several state institutions, as well as with Prime Minister from the majority faction in Parliament. The consultation process will continue.

The new ministers will be sworn in on tuesday.
