Employees in the public sector with an average gross monthly income of up to 20 thousand lei will receive one-time allowances of up to 4 thousand lei. For the provision of these payments, 560 million lei have been allocated, and the state budget amendment for the current year has been adopted by Parliament in the final reading, reports IPN.

Following this adjustment, teachers will benefit from a one-time payment of 4 thousand lei. Employees in the fields of defense, public order, health, culture, sports, local public administration, and justice will receive 3 thousand lei each. For technical and auxiliary staff, including guards and cooks, the allowance will be 2 thousand lei.

Following the rectification, the state budget expenses increase by 2.77 billion lei and reach over 103.34 billion lei. The revenues are increased by 600.5 million lei, up to approximately 80.27 billion lei, and the budget deficit will amount to about 23.07 billion lei. Transfers to the state social insurance budget are increased by approximately 1.67 billion lei. Of this amount, 550 million lei are allocated for the provision of energy compensation in the form of monetary payment.

At the same time, an additional billion lei is allocated to the National Fund for regional and local development for the completion of infrastructure projects, while the Road Fund is supplemented with 300 million lei.

Upon examining the budget rectification, the deputies submitted 22 amendments, which entailed additional expenses of approximately 3.09 billion lei and the redistribution of 527.8 million lei. The government fully accepted eight amendments, partially accepted one, and rejected 13.

Among the proposals included in the adjustment are the allocation of 600 thousand lei for the renovation of the Center for teenagers with autism and rare diseases, and 5 million lei for the completion of the works at the Social Innovation Center in Chisinau.

The rectification of the state budget for the year 2026 was adopted with 54 votes in favor, eight against, and 31 abstentions, and will come into effect on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
