The trolleybus traffic in the capital’s center was disrupted by a malfunction in the contact network, which occurred at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Boulevard with Ismail Street. Until the situation was resolved, the routes of several lines were altered, reports IPN.
According to the Chisinau Electric Transport Directorate, this refers to trolleybus routes no. 1, 4, 5, 8, and 22, which run on Bucuresti Street. Route no. 2 has been redirected to the route on Gheorghe Asachi, Ismail, and Bucuresti streets, continuing towards the Viaduct, after which it returns to its usual itinerary.
At the same time, trolleybus 20, towards the Telecentru district, runs on Ciuflea, Bucharest, Metropolitan Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni and Vasile Alecsandri streets.
RTEC representatives have announced that intervention teams are on site and are working to resolve the issue. For additional information, passengers can call the hotline at the number 022 204 205.
