The first days of March will bring mild temperatures and predominantly sunny weather. Light rains are forecasted for Tuesday, and in places, fog will be present during the night and morning. According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, during the day, temperatures will reach up to +13 degrees Celsius in the south of the country.

Contacted by IPN, the meteorologist Svetlana Cojocaru specified that, during the night from Monday to Tuesday, temperatures will vary between -3 and +2 degrees Celsius, and on Tuesday, during the day, they will fluctuate between +7 and +12 degrees, except for the districts in the north of the country, where thermometers will indicate values between +4 and +6 degrees.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be predominantly sunny, with temperatures rising by approximately one degree. At night, the thermal values will vary between -3 and +2 degrees, and during the day they will fluctuate between +8 and +13 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather forecast for March, the average air temperature will vary between +2 and +4 degrees, in line with the normal values for this period. As for precipitation, it will be less than usual, estimated between 25 and 40 millimeters.

Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for this weekend. In most parts of the country, the maximum temperatures will reach +34 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

The warning is valid for the center, south, and east of the country. Several districts in the north are also under the yellow code. The northernmost districts of the country such as Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, Drochia, Soroca, Glodeni, Rascani, and Donduseni – are not affected by the warning.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the warning can be updated depending on the evolution of weather phenomena.

During periods of heatwave, authorities recommend people to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, to consume enough fluids, and to pay increased attention to children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions.
