The Moldovan U-16 national football team defeated the similar Georgian team with a score of 2-1, in a friendly match held at the National Teams Training Center in Vadul lui Voda, reports IPN.
The goals of the “tricolors” were scored by Darius Cravcenco in the 23rd minute and Mihai Puscasu in the 35th minute. For the guests, Nikoloz Sakhvadze scored in the 59th minute, from a penalty.
In the first half, the advantage was on the side of the Moldovan team, which managed to score twice. In the second half, the Georgian team took the initiative and reduced the gap, coming close to equalizing on several occasions, but the visiting players missed favorable opportunities.
So far, the two teams have met four times in this age category. The young “tricolors” have achieved two victories, one match ended in a draw, while the Georgian team prevailed in one game.
The two teams will meet again on Saturday, at the stadium of the National Teams Training Center in Vadul lui Voda, starting at 12:00 PM.
