A local road, modernized under the “Europe is close” Program, was put into operation in the village of Dobrogea, administered by the city of Singera from the municipality of Chisinau, reports IPN.
The project envisaged the construction and major rehabilitation of a road sector just over half a kilometer long and cost 3.27 million lei, resources allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.
“Our mission remains clear: the development of a sustainable and functional local infrastructure, which meets the real needs of the people. We continue to invest in the modernization of local roads, so that they provide safety, comfort, and efficient access for all citizens,” declared the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Vladimir Bolea, at the inaugural event on January 2.
In 2025, the National Fund for Regional and Local Development had allocations of 1.93 billion lei, with a utilization rate of approximately 96%. Allocations of 1.94 billion lei are planned for the year 2026.
The “Europe is close” program, 2025 edition, includes 579 projects in the process of implementation, which involve the construction, repair, and rehabilitation of 59.5 km of national and municipal roads, 493.5 km of communal roads and streets, as well as 170 km of pedestrian paths and access platforms to schools, kindergartens, medical centers, and other institutions.
