The community of young Moldovans in France is strengthening its ties

Young people originally from the Republic of Moldova, settled or studying in France, have organized for the fourth time in Paris, the annual meeting of the Association for Integration and Mobility – an event designed to support the exchange of experience and strengthen the ties within the community, reports IPN.

In her address, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to France, Corina Calugaru, congratulated the young people on an event that was “warm and full of energy”. At the same time, she expressed her appreciation for the constant support that the members of the Association provide to the Embassy, including in their capacity as volunteers.

The diplomat emphasized the exemplary involvement of these individuals in the recent electoral processes, which demonstrated their shared commitment to the European path of the Republic of Moldova. He also encouraged them to stay united and active in promoting the country’s image abroad.

“Know that wherever you go, you carry a part of Moldova with you – through the way you work, learn, innovate. Your success becomes a veritable business card for our country. I urge you to continue the dialogue, to share ideas and to build bridges, because only together can we build solid strategies and bring more light into our common future”, is stated in the message transmitted by the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in France.



The designated Prime Minister Vasile Tofan presented his governing program, titled “European Economy, Efficient State”, on the eve of the Parliament session where he will request a vote of confidence for the new executive. The document, with a volume of 147 pages, emphasizes the relaunch of the economy, the efficiency of public administration, and the acceleration of the process of joining the European Union, reports IPN.

Vasile Tofan asserts that the new Government aims to bolster citizens’ trust in state institutions through equity, transparency, and responsible use of public funds, so that the savings made can be transformed into better investments and public services.

One goal of the program is to accelerate European integration. “Let’s decisively speed up the accession to the European Union – the historic opportunity of our generation,” declared Vasile Tofan.

According to the document, the Government aims to revive economic growth by stimulating investments, supporting the business environment, and increasing productivity. The program also envisages the digitalization of the economy, the development of artificial intelligence, the modernization of public services, and the reduction of bureaucracy.

The Executive takes on the reform of public administration, with the goal of building a more efficient, digital, and accountable state. Among the priorities are the efficient use of public money, simplifying the relationship between citizens and institutions, and improving the services offered to the population.

In the field of security and justice, the program provides for the strengthening of legal institutions, combating corruption and organized crime, as well as developing crisis management capabilities. The document also includes measures to improve the quality of life, through investments in health, education, social protection, and community development.

Vasile Tofan will present the activity program and the composition of the government team in Parliament on Tuesday, asking for the vote of confidence from the deputies. According to the Constitution, the Government can be invested with the vote of the majority of the elected deputies.

Meteorologists have issued a yellow code for atmospheric instability for the center and south of the country, valid from 3:00 PM to 01:00 AM. During this interval, short-term rains are forecasted, accompanied by electrical discharges, and isolated showers, hail, and wind intensifications are possible, IPN reports.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the accumulated water quantities could reach 15-45 liters per square meter. The phenomena associated with atmospheric instability may include hail falls and storms, with wind gusts of up to 54-72 kilometers per hour.

The warning and map of the affected areas can be updated depending on the evolution and intensity of the weather phenomena.
