For four years, teachers in the Republic of Moldova have been a priority of the “Tekwill in Every School” project, by providing opportunities and acknowledging their remarkable efforts in transforming the learning process. They implement innovative teaching-learning methods and IT courses that meet students’ current needs, contributing to the development of the skills required in a rapidly changing world.
This year, in the context of teachers’ involvement in shaping a generation prepared for the future, 10 innovative teachers from the southern region of the country have been honored. With this addition, the total number of teachers who have received this title so far has reached 53. They have implemented advanced educational methods, promoted digitalization, and contributed to the development of students’ technology skills. Through their efforts, they have inspired not only their students but also their fellow teachers, demonstrating the profound impact of innovative education on their communities.
The “Tekwill in Every School” program is implemented by ATIC. The program’s activities in the southern region are supported by Inotek – EU Innovation Centre Cahul within the “Inotek4Cahul” project, funded by Sweden.

“Being named an innovative teacher is a recognition of my efforts to integrate technology and innovation into the educational process at the ‘Iulia Hașdeu’ College in Cahul. This title motivates me to explore interactive and creative methods to inspire my students to think critically and develop both their digital and programming skills. For their remarkable efforts and dedication to education, the teachers were rewarded with 10,000 lei each, as well as trophies and certificates of appreciation. These distinctions not only highlight the recognition of the work carried out by teachers but also demonstrate the community’s ongoing commitment to supporting innovative education.
The Role of the Private Sector in Education
From 2021 to the present, companies in the private sector, such as QSystems, Allied Testing, FBS Group, Mind the Value, and DRÄXLMAIER Group, have “adopted” 44 innovative teachers, highlighting a notable social commitment to education and, more specifically, to teaching staff.
This year, DRÄXLMAIER Group adopted the innovative teacher awarded in the category “Excellence in Leadership,” recognizing his significant contribution to educating and motivating students, as well as inspiring colleagues. By implementing advanced educational strategies and promoting a collaborative environment, this teacher demonstrated that leadership in education can transform not just a single classroom but an entire community.
About “Tekwill in Every School”
“Tekwill in Every School” is the most extensive and innovative educational project in the Republic of Moldova dedicated to transforming the education system by providing cutting-edge knowledge, resources, and tools. Over four years, the project has connected 489 schools, involving 78,600 students and 3,500 teachers. The resources developed within the program—9 IT and non-IT courses—are available in Romanian and Russian on the tekwill.online platform.
The TIFS range of courses, including Algorithm Programming in C/C++, Web Design and Development, Graphic Design, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Application Development, Emotional Intelligence in Communication, Video Storytelling, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Education, has been developed by Tekwill and is implemented in educational institutions with support from the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova. Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Tekwill in 2018 on “Developing Digital, IT, and STEM Skills throughout Life,” the Ministry expanded the curricular offering for optional IT-related subjects in the summer of 2020, approving curricula for six new subjects.
