More than 60 high school students from Chisinau and Durlesti took part in a simulation of the lawmaking process during the seventh edition of “LAW for YOU(th),” an educational game organized by Parliament. The young participants debated three bills and voted to pass two of them, IPN reports.

According to Parliament, the students examined proposals on protecting minors on social media, using artificial intelligence in educational institutions, and recognizing and using sign language in the Republic of Moldova.

Stepping into the role of members of parliament, the high school students presented their arguments, considered their peers’ views, and took part in a vote, gaining insight into the stages of the legislative process and the responsibility that comes with passing a law.

Finally, the students visited the Military History Museum, where they took part in an interactive history lesson.

The educational game “LAW for YOU(th)” is organized by the Parliament’s Secretariat in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and the “Strengthening Parliamentary Democracy in Moldova” (PADEM) project.
