Reader comments are an important part of IPN.md. They help us shed light on the topics we cover and bring different perspectives to our work. Sometimes, even ideas for new articles come out of these discussions. We thank everyone who takes the time to contribute and we look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Basic rules
Stay on topic: Comments that are unrelated to the article may be deleted.
Respect each other: It’s okay to criticize ideas, but not people. Avoid offensive or vulgar language.
Write clearly: Don’t overuse CAPITAL LETTERS or bold text without reason.
Respect and common sense
Do not insult other commenters. It’s natural to have different opinions and to express criticism, but do it without personal attacks. Be polite. Aggressive or hostile comments will not be tolerated.
We welcome bold ideas, but we won’t keep comments that are offensive or threatening.
Respect other people’s views and beliefs, even if you disagree with them.
Comments that incite hatred are not allowed. Any form of discrimination or unfair generalization based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or age will be removed.
Avoid insults — including accusing someone of being a “troll.” If you have a serious concern, email us at [email protected] and we’ll forward it to the moderation team.
Criticism of IPN and journalists
We welcome criticism, as long as it’s expressed respectfully. Personal attacks or comments that insult our journalists are not allowed.
We are open to critical opinions about our publications, but we will not accept comments that distort facts or spread false information.
Provocative behavior and misinformation
Commenters who deliberately try to provoke arguments or conflicts will be blocked.
The same applies to those who spread false information or post content meant to mislead.
Please do not copy and paste the same comment in multiple places.
Advertising and false identity
We will delete comments that appear to be advertising or spam. Promoting products, businesses, or other websites is not allowed.
You may not impersonate someone else or claim to represent a person or institution you are not affiliated with.
