Prosecutors today informed Vlad Plahotniuc of the charges in four criminal cases, which are currently under criminal investigation, following his extradition to Moldova, IPN reports.
The prosecutor general’s office informs that, in the criminal case pending before the court, the accusers handed over the indictment, in accordance with the legal procedure.
PG States in a press release that Vlad Plahotniuc was under international investigation, being accused of committing a number of crimes, including: creating and running a criminal organization, fraud in particularly large proportions, as well as money laundering in particularly large proportions.
Vlad Plahotniuc was detained at the airport in Athens, Greece on July 22 and extradited to Moldova today. It arrived at Chisinau International Airport with Athens – Chisinau route. He was later transported to Penitentiary no. 13.
