During the Easter holidays, over 12 thousand calls were received at the emergency number 112. Most of them were related to medical emergencies, public order incidents, and firefighter interventions. At the same time, the Emergency Reception Unit of the Institute of Emergency Medicine recorded 285 addresses on the first and second day of Easter. Out of the examined patients, 43 required hospitalization for further investigations and specialized treatment. Most cases were related to traumas occurring at home, especially due to falls, but also to aggravated chronic digestive conditions.
