Teachers will operate remotely during the students’ holidays. Principals will be able to request the physical presence of teaching staff at school only for tasks impossible to accomplish online and for a maximum of two days per week, reports IPN.
During inter-semester holidays – autumn, spring, and Easter – physical presence may be required for a maximum of two days during the total holiday duration. Thus, this measure will be applied for the first time next week, when students have their spring break, during the period of March 5-8.
During the summer vacation, physical presence activities will be carried out according to an approved schedule, without exceeding 40% of the teacher’s monthly working time, except for the annual leave.
The changes approved to the Methodology regarding the distribution of working time for teaching staff are part of a new package of debureaucratization, initiated by the Ministry of Education and Research. Its purpose is to increase institutional efficiency, reduce professional exhaustion, and improve the well-being of teachers. Among the measures are the simplification of reporting procedures and the optimization of evaluation, including for teaching staff involved in inclusion.
