Marian Lupu is to take over the leadership of the Respect Moldova Movement in April, when the congress of this political party will take place. The decision was announced at the broader meeting of the party’s National Political Council, IPN reports.

The congress will be held on April 12. Marian Lupu announced that the Respect Moldova Movement will soon go through a series of important transformations and become a formidable center-left political force.

The National Political Council of the “Respect Moldova Movement” Party also voted unanimously to name Iulia Costin and Ruslan Petrusenco as deputy chairpersons of the party.

Traffic on Minsk Street in the capital will be suspended from July 20-24. The restrictions target the section between Hanul Morii and Cetatea Alba streets, in the Botanica sector. To reach the area, drivers will be able to use Tașkent Street, reports IPN.

The measure was established based on a provision of the City Hall of Chisinau and is necessary for the execution of connection works to the water supply and sewerage networks on Tallin Street, 21.

During the interventions, temporary road signs and protective barriers will be installed in the area. After the completion of the works, the road surface will be restored.

The General Inspectorate of Police recommends drivers to drive cautiously, to respect temporary road signs and to choose alternative routes to avoid traffic jams and delays.
