The state invests 65 million lei in a bridge over the Raut river and the passage over the railway in the bypass area of the city of Balti. The funds are allocated from the Road Fund, reports IPN.
According to the National Road Administration (NRA), the progress recorded so far is 20% for the bridge and 10% for the underpass. The works on the bridge include the consolidation and reinforcement of the existing infrastructure, as well as filling the cone quarters with draining material, while at the railway underpass, the superstructure is being dismantled and the foundation is being prepared for the retaining wall.
AND states that the project has strategic importance for strengthening the national road network and for traffic safety in the northern region of the country.
