Slightly over half of Moldovan citizens consider the current direction of the state to be wrong, according to the latest Electoral Barometer, conducted by iData ahead of the parliamentary elections. The survey indicates 50.4% are dissatisfied with the direction of the country, while 39.2% believe that things are going correctly and 10.4% do not know or do not have an answer. The Electoral Barometer was presented at a press conference at IPN.

The average rating given by the survey participants to the Parliament, at the end of its legislative term, is 4.38.

Over 89% of respondents declare that they will go out to vote on Sunday, while 9.4% have decided not to participate in the election.

The iData survey also shows that 72.9% of citizens have already decided who they will vote for, 24.4% still don’t know who to give their vote to, and 2.7% did not answer the question. “This indicator has increased compared to the first two measurement waves”, stated iData General Manager, Mihai Bologan.

Out of the total decided, 33.9% will cast their vote for the Patriotic Electoral Bloc, 33.6% – for the Action and Solidarity Party, 9.8% – for the Alternativa Electoral Bloc, 7.4% – for Partidul Nostru. These formations are followed in the ranking by the Democratia Acasa Party – 3.1%, the Moldova Mare Party – 2.9%, the European Social Democratic Party – 2.5% and the Respect Moldova Movement – 1.8%.

The survey was conducted on a sample of 1059 respondents, with a margin of error of ±2.9%. The data was collected between September 7 and 19.
