Goods directly from domestic producers at two-day fair in Chisinau

A fair bringing together domestic producers is taking place in Chisinau’s Botanica sector, on Dacia Boulevard, from Saturday morning to Sunday evening, the Municipality announced.

All those interested are invited to visit the Traditional Fair to find various domestic products, from producers coming from different districts of the country. The stands offer a rich palette of delicacies, from cheeses, to fruits and vegetables, to acacia honey collected from the forests of Moldova.

The Traditional Fair, however, is not limited to gastronomy, also offering visitors handmade goods created by folk craftsmen.

The organizers invite the public “to take advantage of the opportunity, thus supporting local producers while enjoying the authenticity of the products exhibited at the fair”.

Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for this weekend. In most parts of the country, the maximum temperatures will reach +34 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

The warning is valid for the center, south, and east of the country. Several districts in the north are also under the yellow code. The northernmost districts of the country such as Briceni, Ocnita, Edinet, Drochia, Soroca, Glodeni, Rascani, and Donduseni – are not affected by the warning.

According to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring, the warning can be updated depending on the evolution of weather phenomena.

During periods of heatwave, authorities recommend people to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours, to consume enough fluids, and to pay increased attention to children, the elderly, and people with chronic conditions.
