I. Mission and slogan
IPN Press Agency is an independent, generalist news outlet that provides its subscribers and the general public with objective, impartial, and comprehensive information products and services.
These enable individuals and organizations to make informed decisions in both life and work, while also allowing other media outlets to enhance and balance the messages they offer their audiences.
By its nature, IPN’s media product leans toward the model of public service media. The Agency provides, on one hand, free and useful informational products to the general public, and on the other, subscription-based services to other media outlets and specific stakeholders.
Slogan: “Useful. Impartial. Prompt.”
IPN’s Mission: We provide our subscribers and the general public with reliable, useful news they can use to make informed decisions.
Gaining and maintaining the trust of our readers is essential. Every day, through hard work, we strive to strengthen that trust.
We believe in the power of quality journalism—not just to inform about the world around us, but to enrich people’s lives and guide society in the right direction. This mission is rooted in our core values: integrity, independence, curiosity, respect, freedom, and collaboration.
To earn and retain the trust of our readers, partners, and peers, we are committed to operating at the highest professional standards.
Our editorial policy reflects the experience we’ve gained over the years and outlines what it means to act in good faith and uphold our responsibilities.
II. Who we are
IPN Press Agency, headquartered in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, operates as an independent media institution, both legally and editorially.
It was launched on June 7, 2005, building on the seven years of professional experience of the former municipal public agency “Info-Prim,” which had been dissolved by the then-communist government for political reasons.
IPN produces generalist media content (text, video, photo, audio) in three languages: Romanian, Russian, and English. Its media products target primarily informed audiences. Its subscribers include Moldova’s most relevant media outlets as well as international ones, central public authorities, foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations, economic agents, and NGOs.
