Approximately 300 schools and kindergartens will be equipped with digital equipment, in a project to strengthen educational infrastructure, funded by the World Bank with over 15.5 million lei, reports IPN.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the new resources will reach over 100 thousand children and about 15 thousand teaching staff, contributing to the transformation of the education process into a modern and interactive one. The selected institutions are part of the list of the 400 schools and kindergartens designated through a public competition for the modernization of the material base.
The set includes over 1,600 pieces of equipment: high-performance IT technology, interactive boards, and other digital resources, designed to facilitate teaching and learning in modern conditions.
“We continue to modernize the educational institutions in the country, to increase access to modern educational technologies and updated teaching resources, both in urban and rural areas,” declared the head of the General Directorate for Education Policies within the MEC, Marcelina Baleca.
The action is part of the “Improving the Quality of Education” project, implemented by the Ministry of Education and Research and funded by the World Bank, which has already invested over 500 million lei in this project to modernize the educational system in Moldova.
