The public auction for the reconstruction of the passenger terminal at the “Eugen Doga” Chisinau International Airport has been relaunched. The project aims to modernize the infrastructure and expand existing spaces, to cope with the ever-increasing number of travelers, reports IPN.
The airport administration announces that the works include the partial replanning of the building and its adaptation to the current air traffic requirements. Interested economic operators are invited to participate in the public procurement procedure.
The project will be fully funded from the company’s own revenues. The works will take place in several stages, so as not to affect the operational activity. Details about the participation conditions are published on the public procurement platform.
The auction for the terminal expansion was canceled at the beginning of the year due to issues with the technical documentation. The airport administrator, Sergiu Spoială, stated at the time that the project required a complete review, as it lacked details such as design solutions, equipment, and passenger flows.
